Technical Specifications

Please only provide us with 1:1 digital print files in a form suitable for the following programs:

FreeHand 11.0.2
Adobe InDesign CS4
Adobe Photoshop CS4
Adobe Illustrator CS4

 

Fonts and Line Width

Please convert the fonts into curves. For typographical and readbilty reasons the minimum font size normally should not go below 6 pt.

Negative fonts reduce the font size. Do not place neagativ fonts in multicoloured objects. The minimum line width should be at least 0,15 mm.

 

Pictures

If your document contains imported/embedded files (e.g. TIFF, EPS, BMP or JPEG) please attach these as well!

Please note that line designs (e.g. logos and text) in the bitmap mode have to have an optimum resolution of 1.200 dpi and continous tone images (e. g. photos) in the CMYK mode have to have a resolution of 300 dpi.

 

Colours

100 % black surfaces should be underlaid by 30 % Cyan.

The total ink coverage should be below 280 %.

Check the number of colours used in your files by making a print-out with „COLOUR SEPARATION“ on your printer (printing can be effected in black/white). The number of the print-outs has to correspond to the number of the printing colours requested. Every print-out should bear the exact name of the colour (HKS or PMS or Process colour).

 

Approval

For each order, however, we will make a PDF-file free of charge, which is only binding with regard to the position, for approval.

 

Proof

A binding colour sample and print sequence is required for designs according to the Euro Scale. If we have to produce a Digital FOGRA-Proof, costs shall be incurred.

DTP Cost

If we take on a design for you, we shall charge 90.00 € per DTP hour excluding VAT.

After the transmission of your print data, the first correction made by us is free. Further corrections will be charged proportionally.

 

Data Communication

CD-Roms or DVDs may be used as data carriers. Mark your data carrier with your name, your company address and the headword of your order.

Administration Charge

For order values of less than 125.00 €, without printing and additional costs, excluding VAT, we shall charge a processing flat rate of 10.00 €, excluding VAT.
