'Alea iacta est'
You may have come across this sentence in an old Asterix comics book. “The die is cast!“ is what Caesar said in 49 B.C., as he crossed the Rubicon River and thus started a war in Gallia.
Playing at dice is possibly as old as mankind. In prehistoric times people used square bones from sheep’s joints. The Sumerians who had settled in the land between Euphrates and Tigris before the Babylonians did, and later the Romans and Greeks, were virtually addicted to the dice. Some Roman senators were said to have played at dice even during meetings of the council of elders. Maybe a game of dice would make some broadcast from our parliaments today more bearable...
Even for us today, dice are fascinating. If there is a die on the table most people find it impossible to not take it in their hands.
Let the magic of dice also entice your customers and bring your advertising into play.
